What a day at the KY State Fair with a wonderful group of Agriculture and FCS students!
Popcorn ☑️ Beef cattle☑️
Giant pumpkins☑️ Great food☑️
Tasted honey & sorghum☑️
Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell☑️ Saw a $10million ham ☑️
Ag Exhibits...AgLand, FFA, 4H☑️
Plus cow pencils, pink hats, and buckets of cookies!

A lot of Estill County Middle School agriculture students in this group!
We are so proud of their dedication and the work they put into successfully completing the Country Ham project this year. It has been a lot of firsts, but looking to grow from here!

Just a little garden update...our first sunflower bloom, and gourds, gourds, gourds!! And just how beautiful are those zinnias?
The students had already picked squash, zucchini, tomatoes, cukes, and banana peppers. We'll be sampling, but with patience, as it doesn't go far with 32 students in a class! (Maybe we need to build more raised beds, plant more garden?)
Can't get more local & fresh-picked than right in our own yard!
