🚒 Truck Fire | Royce Rd & Beech Tree Ln
T28 and E36 responded to a reported trash truck fire near Royce Rd & Beech Tree Ln. Crews worked to quickly contain the fire and prevent further spread.

Earlier this month, T28 and HR6 put their technical rescue skills to work during hands-on training.

On Monday, July 27th, one of our crews from Station 51 quickly knocked down a vehicle fire, preventing it from spreading and keeping the scene safe.

Vehicle fires can escalate in seconds, producing intense heat and toxic smoke. If you encounter one, turn off the engine, stay a safe distance away, and call 911.

Great work by the crew on a fast, effective response. 👏🔥

Station Visit at Station 6 yesterday! 🚒
We had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Japanese students visiting the U.S. who wanted to experience an American fire station firsthand. It was a great opportunity to share what we do, answer their questions, and give them a behind-the-scenes look at life at FS06.

It’s a scorcher today- temperature is expected to reach 91 degrees! 🥵

When the temperatures rise, staying cool is key. Remember to:
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
• Wear light, breathable clothing and don’t forget the sunscreen.
• Take breaks in the shade or indoors whenever possible.
• And of course... treat yourself to a scoop (or two!) of ice cream, because cooling off should be delicious too!
