Principal Oliver had an exciting day getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run our school! 🌟💚

The day started with radio training, placing his Starbucks and lunch orders, and making birthday visits with Stormy. Principal Oliver enjoyed a coffee break in the teacher’s lounge, visited classrooms and several teachers, helped kindergarteners board the bus for their field trip, and spent time playing with friends at recess. After a special lunch with Mrs. Lambert, Principal Oliver helped supervise the playground, visited Mrs. Lambert’s office for a PBIS incentive, and assisted the front office staff. The day wrapped up with Fun Friday with friends! It was a busy, fun-filled day of leadership, learning, and making special memories!

Fall Fun Parade is coming up on Friday, October 30th! 👻🍬🌟

All students are invited to dress up in their favorite costume. We will start at 8:25/8:30AM. Please have your child follow the guidelines below when they are considering their costumes. PK/K will have their own parades with their families, while grades 1st through 6th will participate in a parade that wraps around the entire school. We are looking forward to this event and seeing our community come out and photograph the fun! Fall Fun Day Parade Route. PTA is also looking for a few volunteers to stand along the sidewalk to help monitor student safety. We will see you there! Email: [email protected] to volunteer.

-Children come to school dressed in their costume. We will not allow costume changes to take place at school.
-Children should wear a costume that can be comfortably worn throughout the entire day.
-Be sure to have your children wear proper clothes and underclothes underneath their costume just in case they find their costume to be too hot or uncomfortable and wish to take it off before the day is over.
-Children may not wear masks that depict violent or frightening characters to school. (Child cartoon character masks that are part of an overall costume are acceptable.)
-Children may not wear make-up to school. (For example, no full face makeup, no dripping blood, no make-up on hands that will smear on papers.)
-Children should not bring any object that they will need to hold in their hands. Of special emphasis is our State Education Code that states children may not bring any toy weapons to school of any sort at any time.
-Children should wear a costume that is respectful of different cultures and avoids any potentially offensive stereotypes or symbols.
-Children should not come in costumes that depict any kind of graphic violence.
-Children should be discouraged from wearing any costume material that could be easily damaged.

Our PAL students and advisors went to the OC Ropes Course last week, taking on new challenges, building confidence, and strengthening their teamwork skills! 🌲🧗‍♀️ 🌟 Along the way, they practiced perseverance, encouraged one another, and learned the power of a positive mindset. These skills will help them become even stronger, more confident leaders within our school community. 💙

A day full of challenges, growth, and plenty of reasons to be proud! 🌪️
