Temporary security measures for the RNC Midterm Convention are expected to become more visible beginning around September 4.

Official closures are expected to begin September 7 and remain in place until approximately midnight on September 11, following the conclusion of event activities. These details are subject to change as planning continues and information is finalized for public release.

Residents, businesses, commuters, and visitors near affected areas should monitor official updates from the City of Dallas, law enforcement, and event organizers.

As preparations continue for the RNC Midterm Convention in Dallas, the public can expect to see visible security measures in and around the American Airlines Center and nearby affected areas.

These may include an increased law enforcement presence, temporary fencing, vehicle barriers, checkpoints, access control points, and traffic restrictions.

Some security measures will be visible, while others will not be.

Protecting our children takes all of us.

The U.S. Secret Service Dallas Field Office was proud to stand with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office and our federal, state, and local partners to announce the results of a coordinated operation focused on combating human trafficking and child exploitation.

As part of the solicitation of a minor portion of the operation, the U.S. Secret Service provided online chatters, technical expertise, analysis, and coordinated with law enforcement partners. That work contributed to the arrest of four individuals who were attempting to exploit children.

This operation is a reminder that strong partnerships, proactive enforcement, and community awareness are our most important tools in keeping children safe.

As students head back to school, we encourage parents and guardians to take time to talk with their children about online safety. Know who they are communicating with, pay attention to the apps and platforms they use, and remind them they can always come to a trusted adult if something online makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Together, we can help protect children both online and offline.

The pitch is quiet at the former Dallas Stadium as the FIFA World Cup comes to a close, marking the end of nine successful matches in North Texas.

Behind the scenes, federal, state, and local law enforcement—including the United States Secret Service - Dallas Field Office—worked around the clock to ensure the safety of teams, fans, visiting dignitaries, and our community. The collaboration, adaptability, and professionalism shown throughout the tournament were essential to making this event a success.

None of this would have been possible without the teamwork, flexibility, and dedication everyone brought to the table. Throughout the World Cup, the Secret Service and our partners worked side by side—constantly assessing and adapting to keep everyone safe.
