Dallas Mayor, Eric Johnson has called for a Thursday night citywide ovation for workers on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic! All residents are asked to step outside their front doors or patios at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16th and cheer for health care workers, police officers, firefighters, park rangers, code officers, workers providing essential services, and all others who are helping the City of Dallas respond to the spread of the coronavirus. Have fun, be creative, but please cheer respectfully.

Second bill on the senate floor for today was from bill author Taylor Kelly from Palestine High School. This bill legalizes physician-assisted suicide. This bill only allows for only terminally ill patients to have access to this action as well as be at least 18 years old. The bill allows physicians to prescribe a dose of secoarbitral or penoarbitral to their patients. #TXYG20 -M.N
