Irving Cares is beyond grateful for the partnership and support of Pioneer Natural Resources. Pioneer’s generous gift of $75,000 will assist people who have been negatively impacted by the recent storms, by the COVID pandemic, or other difficult circumstances. Pioneer has been a partner for several years and always comes through when there is need in Irving. General information

Irving Cares, Inc. was organized in 1957 by a group of citizens in Irving who were interested in the social welfare of the needy people in their community. On October 25, 1963 the laws of the state of Texas incorporated Irving Aid. The bylaws were approved in 1964 and revised periodically, most recently in 2010. Irving Aid, Inc. was supported by the United Fund and operated with a staff of volunteers until 1973, when the agency reorganized and hired its first full-time paid staff. Irving Aid, Inc. changed its name to Irving C.A.R.E.S., Inc., (Community Assistance Referral and Emergency Services) in 1991. On July 21, 1998, the Board of Directors voted to change the agency’s name from Irving C.A.R.E.S., Inc. to Irving Cares, Inc.

Congratulations to my grandson Brandon Reyes grandma is very proud. graduate 2020 Irving high school
Irving Cares gets a mention, we made the Lehigh Hanson focuses on community outreach Lehigh Hanson encourages all of its locations to actively engage the local community and positively contribute to its growth and success. Earlier in 2019, the company introduced its Lehigh Hanson Cares program, which includes an employee donation matching component and a “Dollars for Doers” component, where the company donates to charities where its employees volunteer. Other examples of community outreach include a summer food drive at the corporate office in Irving, Texas, where employees donated money, non-perishable food, and hygiene products to the Irving Cares food bank.

My Project Maria Montessori understood how knowledge develops in the early years of childhood, specifically concrete objects to illustrate abstract concepts. These materials will allow me to foster a deepen understanding of both Language and Math skills in an engaging way that involve the student's multiple senses. The letter beads will provide an opportunity for students to first build their names, and learned words in the Spanish language which then may be reviewed utilizing the letter tiles; the colored beads will help students with Math concepts such as counting, sorting by colors, identifying colors as well as making patterns. The Bananagrams will offer the opportunity for students to review the lessons by building words using the letter tiles. The number counting sticks will help relate counting to the corresponding symbol. Please help me make these materials available for my early childhood scholars so they can equal access of educational opportunities such as these Montessori-like materials. Thank you.
Pre-K Montessori Color Learning: Melt, Mix, Go! My students need crayon makers for learning a Spanish Unit on Colors (Primary and Secondary Colors) by melting and mixing used crayons to make new ones. My Project The Montessori Shape Work book will grant me with ideas based on the Montessori method of teaching shapes, while the Montessori: Number Work will aide me with innovated ideas to teach numbers. For teaching colors, the Crayola Melt 'N Mold Factory, Expansion Packs and Bundle will facilitate the creation of crayon making stations for my pre-k students to mix colors and witness how secondary colors come to exist. Students will also learn to reuse materials such as crayons and save some dollars on the school budget. My students crave learning that is maneuvered by their senses and the Montessori method to teach them is crucial for early childhood students. https://www.donorschoose.org/project/pre-k-montessori-color-learning-melt-m/3278874/?utm_source=dc&utm_medium=page&utm_campaign=project&utm_term=teacher_3446398&rf=page-dc-2018-06-project-teacher_3446398&challengeid=20718986*
