Today the Irvington Police Department Mourns the Loss of Officer Randolph Walker #399.

The Irvington Public Safety Department is shaken by the loss of Officer R. Walker, who passed away unexpectedly this afternoon.

Officer Walker served the Irvington Police Department with dedication and humility from March 31, 2008. His unassuming nature and warm spirit made him a cherished member of the team. We stand together in support of his family and offer our heartfelt condolences during this painful time. Please keep the Division of Police and Officer Walker’s family in your thoughts and prayers.

The Irvington Police Department Superior Officers Association is thrilled to invite you to their inaugural huff and puff golf outing.

Join us at the Hendricks Field Golf Course in Bellville, New Jersey, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm. This fundraiser aims to support our association’s initiatives.

The event features a Best Ball Scramble, with a fee of $100 per player or $400 for a foursome. The included amenities are a BBQ at the pavilion, golfing and golf carts. Donations are also welcome, with a special offer of $220 to sponsor a hole.

Today we will like to highlight and congratulate two of our members for their outstanding performance from yesterday.

On March 15, 2026, Sergeant Dobson & Detective Quinones participated in the March Madness Half Marathon 5K run at Weequahic Parkin Newark, NJ.

Sergeant Dobson ran 5k and finished #49 overall, #18 in the female division, and 2nd 🥈 in her age group.

Detective Quinones also ran 5k and finished #10 overall, #9 in the male division, and 1st 🥇 in his age group.

They received separate medals for finishing the race and age-group placement awards. Thank you for facilitating this event.

REMEMBERING RETIRED OFFICER JOHN WILLIAM REEDY #289

All are welcome to attend the funeral service for our late brother in blue on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 10am at The Chapel of Immaculate Conception, Seton Hall University.

A repast will follow at The Sun Tavern, 600 Westfield Ave W, Roselle Park NJ from 12 noon-4pm, featuring a buffet and cash bar.

The honor guard and bagpipers will pay tribute to his legacy. Rest in Peace Reedy.
