Join us in-person tomorrow morning at 11:00 for a Jewish American Heritage Month program, "Borscht Belt Artifacts: Relics of the Catskill Resort Age". Historian Alex Prizgintas presents a history of the Catskills Borscht Belt resort era, including its origins, entertainment, cuisine, and cultural legacy through tangible artifacts. An advisory board member of the Borscht Belt Museum, Alex will showcase five unique items from his personal collection that all have a special place amidst the hearts and hands that shaped this region of New York, now largely vanished in time. Registration is not required.

Join us this Saturday at 2:30 in the Martucci Gallery and Program Room for "Robert the Guitar Guy", an original musical about hit local children's entertainer Robert Markowitz. This original musical play for adult audiences explores the courage it takes to leave a secure career and pursue a more meaningful life.

Robert, a former lawyer, walks away from his profession to become a musician—much to the dismay of his strong-willed mother. As he struggles to stay the course, an ex-girlfriend reappears, a new relationship begins, and he’s forced to confront the question at the heart of the story: how much are you willing to risk to live honestly?

Blending music and humor, Robert the Guitar Guy is a thoughtful and entertaining look at reinvention, identity, and the challenge of choosing your own path.
