🎉 August Attendance Celebration! 🎉
We are excited to celebrate the classes with the highest average attendance rates for the month of August! 💙🐾💛
Being at school every day, all day, and on time makes a difference! Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for making attendance a priority and helping our Cougar Cubs make the most of every learning opportunity.
📅 Our Attendance Awareness Month begins September 8th and runs through October 6th !
During this special attendance push, we have LOTS of exciting incentives planned to recognize and celebrate our students who are at school every day, on time, and all day!

Welcome to the Cougar Cub Family!!
Dr. Allyson Chappell brings more than 24 years of experience in education to her new role as Assistant Principal. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, math instructional coach, district Technology Resource Teacher, and adjunct professor teaching graduate-level courses. She has also led district-wide professional learning and technology initiatives, directed the Regional Technology Fair, led parent and family math nights to help families engage in their children’s learning, and presented at the local, state, and national levels.
Dr. Chappell believes that meaningful connections with students, teachers, and parents are at the heart of a successful school community. Building trust is an important part of her leadership philosophy because she believes strong relationships create a foundation where students and educators can learn, grow, and thrive.
Outside of school, Dr. Chappell is married and the proud mom of twin girls. She also serves as the Children’s Director at her church, where she enjoys leading and creating meaningful experiences for children and families. She loves spending time at the beach, visiting Disney, traveling, and making memories with her family.
Dr. Chappell is excited to begin this new chapter and looks forward to a school year filled with new learning, continued growth, meaningful relationships, and exciting new opportunities. She is especially looking forward to getting to know and serve the students, families, faculty, and community!

🌟 Congratulations, Isabelle! 🌟

We are so proud to celebrate our Cougar Cub, Isabelle, for being selected as our Cougar Cub of the Month! 🐾💙💛

As part of this special recognition, Isabelle and her guests had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce luncheon. What an exciting experience and a great way to celebrate her accomplishments! 👏✨

Join us for Golden Guest Day, our special Grandparents Day celebration, in conjunction with the St. Elmo Book Fair!

Last names N–Z: 4:30–5:15 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided, and families can enjoy a special photo opportunity. We look forward to celebrating our Golden Guests as we continue Growing Greatness One Student at a Time!

🌊🪼 Slime by the Sea! 🐚💙

Students in Ms. Hamilton’s room got hands-on during their “By the Sea” unit as they made their very own slime! 🧪✨

Learning is always more engaging when students can explore, create, and get a little messy along the way! Our Cougar Cubs were having a fin-tastic time learning together! 🐠🌊

Learning is an adventure in Ms. Robbins’ and Ms. Pearson’s Pre-K classes! During station time, students explore a variety of hands-on activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, communication, and independent learning. Watching our little learners grow through exploration is truly amazing! ❤️

Scientists in Ms. Tillman and Ms. Kloeckener’s classes put force and motion to the test! Students created ramps of different heights and rolled marbles down each one to investigate how the height of a ramp affects a marble’s speed and distance. Students participates in predicting, testing, observing, and learning through hands-on science! 🧪 🚙
