🌟 Meet the Council 🌟

This week, we’re featuring Council Member Bryce Bruck!

Bryce has served on the Irwin City Council for approximately four months and is excited for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community he has called home for most of his life.

Bryce has worked for Farm Service Cooperative (FSC) in Irwin for 23 years as a custom applicator and tire technician. He decided to run for City Council because he wanted the chance to help make a difference and contribute to the community.

One of the things Bryce enjoys most about serving on the Council is working with fellow council members to tackle challenges, find solutions, and make decisions that benefit both the community and the people involved.

Looking ahead, Bryce hopes to see Irwin continue to improve and grow while maintaining affordable taxes and utility costs. He would also like to see continued efforts toward community improvements, cleanup projects, and maintaining the town’s infrastructure.

When asked what he loves most about Irwin, Bryce highlighted the small-town atmosphere, the safe environment for raising a family, and the way neighbors come together to help one another when needed.

A few fun facts about Bryce:
🎣 He enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and just about anything outdoors.
☀️ One of his favorite ways to relax is spending quiet time on his deck after work.
🏕️ If it’s outside, there’s a good chance Bryce enjoys doing it!

A little about Bryce:
🇺🇸 He proudly served three years in the Army.
🏠 Born and raised in Irwin, he returned to town and purchased his home in 2002.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bryce and his wife, Robyn, have been married for 24 years and have raised three children: Austin, Loryn, and Blake.

Thank you, Bryce, for your willingness to serve and help shape the future of the City of Irwin!

🌟 Meet the Council 🌟

This week, we’re featuring Council Member, Jonna Willadsen!

Jonna serves the City of Irwin as a council member and is passionate about helping strengthen the community and bringing people together. She shared that she first became involved after being encouraged to run for the position — and has enjoyed the opportunity to meet more people in Irwin while working toward a stronger future for the town.

One of Jonna’s biggest hopes for Irwin is that the community continues to move forward together by supporting one another and working toward what’s best for the town as a whole.

When asked what she loves most about Irwin, Jonna reflected on the friendships and connections she has built throughout her life. After being away from Irwin for more than 30 years, she returned and was welcomed back by longtime friends while also forming many new friendships within the community.

Outside of council duties, Jonna enjoys working on projects with the community and church, along with painting and drawing — hobbies she says keep her busy and provide a creative escape.

A little about Jonna’s background:
🎓 Graduate of Irwin Kirkman High School
📚 Earned two degrees from CMSU
🍎 Taught special education students in grades K–6
🎨 Worked in a variety of roles including preschool teaching, real estate, advertising design, and at an optometrist’s office
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Proud mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother

Jonna’s roots in Irwin run deep. Her father taught in Irwin schools and started the local FFA program, while her mother dedicated her life to raising five children and later returned to teaching.

Thank you, Jonna, for your service and commitment to the City of Irwin and its future!

It’s National EMS Week!

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible EMS volunteers who serve our community with compassion, courage, and dedication.

Day and night, these individuals answer emergency calls without hesitation — often leaving behind family dinners, sleep, holidays, and personal time to help neighbors in their greatest moments of need. Their willingness to serve, comfort, and care for others is something truly special.

EMS providers are often the first faces people see during emergencies, bringing not only medical care, but reassurance and hope during difficult situations. Their calm under pressure and commitment to helping others make a lasting difference in countless lives throughout our community.

To the Irwin Rescue Squad: thank you for your sacrifices, your courage, and your dedication to keeping our community safe. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do!

Friendly reminder: Residents are STRONGLY encouraged to utilize the 24-hour drop box located at City Hall for all utility payments during the City Clerk’s maternity leave. This helps ensure payments are received in a timely manner while access to the office, phone, and email remains limited.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this time!
