Media Specialist Mrs. Qualls has tallied the results of our September Literacy Challenge, and SIXTH GRADE takes the top spot! 🎉💙💛

Our sixth-grade scholars led the way by reading the most and taking and passing the most Accelerated Reader (AR) tests!

A huge THANK YOU to all students who participated and demonstrated their commitment to literacy throughout September. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed! As a reward, each student in 6th grade received a cool treat from the media center!

The challenge may be over, but the joy of reading never ends! Keep turning those pages!

This week, we recognize National School Bus Safety Week and America's Safe Schools Week! While these observances focus on different areas, they share one important goal: keeping our students and staff safe!

🚌 School Bus Safety Week reminds us that safety begins long before students enter the classroom. From waiting at the bus stop and boarding safely to following bus rules and encouraging motorists to remain alert, everyone plays a role in making sure our students arrive at school and return home safely.

🏫 Safe Schools Week highlights the importance of maintaining secure, supportive, and welcoming learning environments. When students feel safe physically, socially, and emotionally, they're better able to focus, build positive relationships, and succeed academically.

At Wilkinson County Schools, safe students and safe schools are everyone's responsibility! 💙 💛

💙💛 CELEBRATING NATIONAL PRINCIPALS MONTH & BOSS’S DAY! 💙💛

Today, WCMS took time to celebrate and show GREAT appreciation for our very own Dr. Ashley Choice, our Principal and Lead Learner!

We celebrated with gifts, well wishes, smiles, and the sweetest hugs from our students! These moments remind us that leadership is not just about the position you hold, but the lives you touch, the people you inspire, and the difference you make every single day.

Dr. Choice, thank you for your commitment, your vision, and your dedication to leading WCMS HIGHER! Your leadership continues to push us forward, strengthen our team, and remind us that we are capable of achieving great things together.

Today, we celebrate YOU! Thank you for leading with purpose, serving with passion, and helping our Warriors continue to grow, thrive, and excel. Your impact is felt throughout our building, and we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the leader you are! 💙💛
