Have you ever contemplated what would happen if local volunteers didn't step in to serve in our department?
Fighting fire is just one of the services we provide. Responding to medical emergencies, Rescue situations, Hazardous Material responses, and transportation accidents are all provided. Public service calls for questions, smoke and CO alarms are also thrown in. All those situations require frequent training and maintenance of our apparatus and equipment as well.
Behind the scenes, all required reporting for NERIS, ISO, NFPA, etc. are completed by volunteers. Preplans, public education presentations, and board meetings are all done by volunteers. Our families also become as involved as firefighters through the Isabella Rural Fire District in fund raising efforts and providing food and water after big fire battles.
We honor and thank all those who serve the citizens of our fire district as volunteers!!
