McKenney family, Theater of the Sea is one of the oldest marine mammal facilities and a pioneer in animal interactive programs. The 17-acre property of lagoons and lush, tropical gardens is home to a variety of animals including Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, sea turtles, sharks, rays, crocodilians, fishes, invertebrates, and birds.

Join us in wishing Bella (18), Monica (12), and Malibu (12) a very happy birthday 🥳

Sharing a birth month is not the only thing these ladies have in common, they also happen to be rescued by 🦭 Bella arrived to our park in 2009 while Monica and Malibu arrived in 2016. All three were deemed non-releasable by the government, which means that they would not be able to survive on their own had they been released back into the wild. We’re honored to provide a wonderful home for animals like Bella, Monica, and Malibu and we’re thrilled to celebrate another year of these amazing sea lions 🤍
