On behalf of the Isleton Fire Department, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and members of the Rio Vista Fire Department on the loss of Firefighter Paramedic Alex Bosworth.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Firefighter Bosworth knew him as someone who always carried a genuine smile and offered a warm handshake or embrace each time he saw you. He treated the volunteer firefighters of the Delta region with sincere respect and regarded them as true partners in service.

I personally had the honor of knowing and working alongside Firefighter Bosworth for over a decade, and I can say with certainty that his loss will be deeply felt throughout our fire service community and the Delta region he so faithfully served.

His kindness, professionalism, and dedication to others will not be forgotten.

🚧 TRAFFIC UPDATE – RIO VISTA BRIDGE CLOSURE POSTPONED 🚧

UPDATE: The Hwy 12 Rio Vista Bridge 55-hour closure that was scheduled for this weekend (November 15th) has been postponed due to weather conditions.

Crews have delayed the work to ensure safety for both workers and the traveling public. A new closure date has not yet been announced, but once Caltrans confirms the rescheduled timeframe, we will share that information immediately.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as this important project continues. Stay safe and plan ahead!

🚒 Isleton Fire Department – Mutual Aid Response 🚒

At approximately 5:20 PM, Water Tender 93 responded with Isleton Fire personnel for a mutual aid assist to River Delta Fire Department for a commercial vehicle fire involving a travel trailer in the 1100 block of W. Brannan Island Road.

Crews remained on scene for several hours, providing critical water supply to additional fire apparatus to help bring the fire under control and fully extinguish the incident.

The Isleton Fire Department is proud to serve our community and to support all neighboring agencies whenever needed. Strong partnerships help keep our region safe.
