I can’t believe it’s been 17 years since I married my best friend. What a treasure that I cannot even express. Through the many ups and downs I can say that I would not want to go through any of it without you. I love you Adrienne Camp more and more each year.

We both have such a huge heart for married couples, because it’s been a long road throughout the years watching many people we love give up on their marriage. We understand that it’s not always easy, we are flawed human beings that are in desperate need of a Savior. We sometimes irritate each other, frustrate, get annoyed and hurt deeply those we love, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t fight for them. It is all worth it in the end. We have learned that there is no way to walk through a healthy marriage without Jesus being the center. There is so much awe in the sanctity of marriage, and what an example it is to the world of Jesus, love, and forgiveness. If you are married take time today and think of all the things you are thankful for in your spouse and pray for them.

Trish Bergquist & I went to see "I Still Believe", on Friday. Theater had 7 people in it so, social distancing was not an issue! The story is awesome AND it was the #1 movie this weekend! Happy September and welcome back to the Fall routines! If you are like us, Summer flew by (it isnt over I know) and while it was wonderful, we missed our weekly marriage conversations with each of you. This Sunday, come to hear Luis Palau at the 9am service, then join in at 11:00 for a Welcome Back Week in Married Life Class, and while you are at it, grab a friend. We will share some upcoming lessons we know will direct us all toward God and our spouse; we will also laugh and pray together! We look forward to seeing you there!

Pastor Steve, did a great job on Sunday's message. Certainly timely, given our time, some of us had, with foster youth, recently. A little further reading, in James this week, provides additional encouragement for the DOING! Lord, thank you for Jesus. We pray you'll increase our capacity to love the way you do, in Jesus name we pray, Amen! From James Chapter 1, v21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
