It took me quite a bit of effort to keep these diaries together, but thankfully, I was able to pull it off.
Meet Janet Rosemond de Kay Gilder born on July 17, 1891, in Marion, Massachusetts, and raised in New York City.
She was the daughter of Richard Watson Gilder, the revered, poet and literary editor, and Helen de Kay Gilder, a painter and arts patron. Her upbringing was influenced by some of the most influential writers, performers, and artists of the Gilded Age - this shaped her career in the performing arts.
