This past Wednesday the battalion traveled to Mount Pleasant where they took on “The Hoffman Challenge.” Split into two groups the midshipmen worked as team to belay and climb the various obstacles set out before them. Everyone worked to put themselves out of their comfort zone and showed extreme motivation throughout.

Senior Sunday! I’m Vincent Kinduelo. I was born in Ottawa, Canada and raised in Raleigh, NC. I love watching and playing basketball and football. At school I’m a member of Cornell Finance Club. I’m commissioning into the Marine Corps and will be headed to The Basic School in August. My favorite NROTC memory is running through the snow covered arboretum my freshman fall.

Senior Sunday!! MIDN Luke Brust - I am the son of two USAF officers and was born in Okinawa, Japan. As the youngest of four brothers, I moved around the world and eventually spent my high school years in Texas running Cross Country and Track. I went on to earn a Naval ROTC Scholarship and attend Cornell University, where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and rowing on the Cornell Varsity Heavyweight Rowing Team. I am looking forward to graduating and commissioning this May to join the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer.

Senior Sunday! MIDN 1/C Connor Eaton I was born in London, UK where I spent my first 18 years before coming to Cornell. I’m a proud dual citizen of the UK and the US and hope to spread beans on toast to the American people. Here at Cornell, I study Economics and History in Arts and Sciences and I compete on the Varsity Lightweight Rowing Team where I have been part of some really special crews, including the Light 4+ that won at the Head of the Charles in 2023. My hobbies fall mostly into the category of outdoor recreation: from distance running and cycling to fishing and backpacking. In May, I’ll commission into the Marine Corps as a 2ndLt. Thereafter, I’ll report to The Basic School (TBS) and upon graduation, hopefully receive assignment to a combat arms MOS. My favourite NROTC memory has got to be our annual dining-in fixtures, I’ll never miss an opportunity to have a laugh at the expense of my peers (or vice versa).

Senior Sunday! MIDN 1/C Rose Jou is from the mountainous city of Boulder, Colorado. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, and snow boarding, and has continued her love for the sport of gymnastics as a seasonal gymnastics coach back home. At Cornell, she is majoring in Hotel Administration with a concentration in Specialty Operations. She also serves as the Battalion Commander of NROTC and is involved in the Hotel Leadership Development Program (HLDP). Her favorite ROTC memories include studying abroad in Taipei, Taiwan, through Project Global Officers (Project GO), traveling to the Villanova Drill Meet, and helping put on CUIDC. After commissioning, she will serve as a Surface Warfare Officer in Yukosuka, Japan.
