Today we recognize and celebrate the retirement of Sergeant Jamie Reynolds, after 25 years of dedicated law enforcement service.
Sergeant Reynolds has faithfully served the citizens of Tishomingo County with honor, integrity, and professionalism. We are grateful for his commitment to our community and the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office throughout his career.

Narcotics Investigation Leads to Arrest of Jackson “Sparky” Bailey

On May 11th, 2026 after an extensive investigation by the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, with the assistance of The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Agents and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Game Warden, an arrest warrant was served on Mr. Jackson Randolph Bailey “Sparky” at his residence in Iuka. After placing Mr. Bailey into custody, he would give written consent to search his property. As Deputies and Officers searched the property, suspected Methamphetamine, unprescribed pain medication, a variety of drug paraphernalia, and equipment used to distribute and sell narcotics would be seized. Mr. Bailey would be arrested and charged with: Sale of Methamphetamine X2, Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (6 dosage units of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate), and Possession of Paraphernalia. His bond would be set at $150,000 by Judge Jeff Sparks.

On May 8th, 2026 at approximately 8:30 pm deputies were conducting a safety checkpoint on County Road 169 near County Road 166. At that time deputies observed a Honda Accord approaching them South bound on County Road 169. The operator of the vehicle would slam on its brakes and quickly swerve the vehicle halfway off the roadway before coming to a stop approximately 40 yards from the deputies. Another vehicle also travelling South bound would slam on its breaks behind it almost striking the Accord. Deputies then demanded the operator of the Accord to approach them, and pull off of the roadway. As the operator of the Accord pulled off of the roadway, he would strike a patrol vehicle sitting stationary with blue lights flashing. The operator would be identified as Mr. Jacob Earl Hill of Paden. Deputies then walked down the roadway to where Mr. Hill had stopped. Deputies would retrieve a plastic bag that had been thrown into the ditch. Inside of the plastic bag would be another plastic baggy that contained approximately 29 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, and a smaller plastic baggy that contained approximately 4 grams of suspected Co***ne. Inside of the Accord, one dosage unit of Oxycodone would also be retrieved. Mr. Hill was arrested and charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Methamphetamine 10-30 Grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Co***ne 2-10 Grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Less that 2 Dosage Units), and several misdemeanor traffic violations. Mr. Hill’s bond would be set at $40,000 by Judge Seth Adams.

The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a male allegedly enticing a child for sexual purposes online. As a result of the investigation, Christopher Scott Norman was arrested and charged with Enticement of a Child to Meet for Sexual Purposes and Grooming. His bond has been set at $1,000,000 by Judge Seth Adams.

The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for PART-TIME DISPATCHER.

*Applicant must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Also, applicants must be able to pass a background check and must not have a criminal record.

* Applicants must have good phone and computer skills, be able to handle multitasking efficiently and willing to work shift work.

April Felony Narcotics Arrests

On April 5th, 2026 deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Fairview Church on County Road 356. Upon arrival deputies encountered Ms. Charity Lynn Scarantino on the property who had an active warrant out of Burnsville PD. After placing Ms. Scarantino into custody deputies discovered her to be in possession of a white crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine. She would be arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Methamphetamine 1/10th – 2 Grams). Her bond would be set at $20,000 by Judge Seth Adams.

On April 6th, 2026 after a traffic stop, deputies arrested Mr. Jeremy Scott Crittenden and Nelson Allen Lambert for active warrants. While both subjects were being transported to the jail, they would both admit to be concealing Methamphetamine on their person. The m**h would be seized of the subjects upon arrival to the jail. Both subjects would be charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance II (Methamphetamine 1/10th- 2 Grams). Their bond was set at $20, 000 by Judge Seth Adams.

On April 8th, 2026 Mississippi ABC Agents, as well as the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Game Warden’s were conducting a safety checkpoint in Dennis. A vehicle that was being operated by Ms. Lisa West would come through the checkpoint. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, Agents would find a baggy with alleged m**hamphetamine inside of it. Ms. West would claim the alleged m**hamphetamine and be charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Methamphetamine 1/10th – 2 Grams). Her bond would be set at $20,000 by Judge Seth Adams.

On April 10th, 2026 after a traffic stop, deputies would obtain consent to search a vehicle. After searching the vehicle, deputies arrested Kristopher Lee Walker for Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Methamphetamine 1/10th – 2 Grams)

Narcotics Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of Three

On Sunday April 26th, 2026, after an extensive investigation by the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, who was assisted by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, a search warrant would be executed at a residence on Highway 25 South of the City Limits of Iuka. During the search warrant, Deputies would seize approximately 65.1 grams of Methamphetamine along with equipment used for distributing narcotics, 5 fi****ms, a variety of drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle that was being used to transfer the narcotics. MANDA LYNN DANIEL would be arrested and charged for Sale of Methamphetamine – Enhanced within 1500 feet of a church X3, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $200,000 by Judge Jeff Sparks. CHRISTOPHER SHAWN CLARK would be arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (1/10th – 2 Grams), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $5,000 by Judge Jeff Sparks. CHRISTOPHER LANE RENO was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,320.

On April 14, 2026, the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a structure fire on CR 989. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that this fire was intentionally set. Gary Walker of Iuka, MS has been charged with Arson. His bond has been set at $20,000 by Judge Seth Adams.
