-Parts of Graham Road will be closed temporarily due to flooding.

CR 227: between CR 226 and the railroad tracks will be closed due to flooding

Please avoid these areas.

Cooling Stations & Phone Charging Available

For anyone currently without power, the City of Belmont is activating cooling stations and phone charging stations for residents inside and outside the city limits.

With dangerous heat levels, we believe it is important to open facilities to help provide relief and allow people to charge phones and essential devices.

Hot showers are also available at the Belmont Fire Department.
Please bring your own towels and toiletries.

🚨🚨 💧 UPDATE! Midway water system is under a BOIL WATER NOTICE until sometime midweek. We will give an all clear when we get it! Iuka and Harmony water system are NOT under boil water notice. Only Midway.

With the current power outages anyone needing to charge phones or cool off can come to the Tishomingo County Courthouse. NO PETS! If anyone with medical issues or equipment can also go to the Iuka Hospital lobby.

TORNADO WATCH ALERT 🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Tishomingo County until 5:00 AM.

⚠️ Be prepared NOW:

Identify your safe place (storm shelter, basement, or small interior room on the lowest floor)
Keep your phone charged and weather alerts ON
Have shoes, flashlight, and essentials ready

⚠️ If you live in a mobile home, you should plan to go to a sturdier structure before storms arrive.

Anyone seeking more information about assistance with damage from the ice storm and wishes to speak directly to FEMA representatives, they are at the Tishomingo County Courthouse in Iuka from now until Friday from 8a-6p
