***Working Fire***
At 23:24 Station 10 was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the first due with stations 18 & 4 assisting. Engine Co. 10 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing and quickly initiated fire attack and search while water supply was established. All units are back in service.

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy each day. We honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the men and women who fought for our independence, as well as those who have continued to defend our country throughout its history.

From all of us at the Iva Fire Department, we wish everyone a meaningful and blessed Fourth of July. May we never take for granted the freedoms we have or the sacrifices made to secure them.

At 02:02 Company 10 was dispatched to a structure fire with station 4 assisting, upon arrival units found a small fire on the porch and cut the response down to one engine. Units are back in service!

🚨 TORNADO RISK UPGRADED

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded much of the area to a Level 2 tornado risk for tonight as the core of the storm system is now expected to track very near the I-85 corridor.

I’ll be watching closely for rotating thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

It’s important to remember that I share this information to prepare you, not scare you. Most of us will simply experience rain and thunderstorms, but a few storms could become severe and capable of producing a tornado.

🌪️ Have a way to receive warnings today and tonight.
📱 Keep your phone nearby.
⚠️ Pay attention if a warning is issued for your area.

This is not a major tornado outbreak, but it is a setup that deserves respect and close monitoring.
