📌 Vista School is excited to welcome Chad Allman to our Administrative team!

Mr. Allman serves as Assistant Principal for Grades 6–9 at Vista School. He brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including teaching and administrative leadership at both the middle and high school levels. His career includes roles as a classroom teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and educational consultant. Before joining Vista, he served as principal of Tomball Junior High School in Texas.

Mr. Allman is committed to supporting teachers, strengthening student learning, and fostering a safe, engaging school culture where academics, the arts, creativity, and technology work together to prepare students for future success.

📚Vista School is excited to welcome Christine Giles to our Administrative team as the Deputy Director!

Mrs. Giles joins the Vista team with years of experience in both public district and charter schools. An accomplished administrator and innovative leader, she is passionate about student success, effective teaching, and building a strong professional learning community where educators feel supported, students feel valued, and all members of the school community are encouraged to grow.

Her background includes years in the classroom and various leadership roles, where she has focused on improving student performance through collaboration, research-based practices, and people-centered leadership. She is thrilled to be part of the Vista family and looks forward to getting acquainted with students, parents, and the school community! Mrs. Giles has a deep love for the arts and the impact music, dance and art has on students.

We are thrilled to welcome and introduce our new orchestra director, Dr. Jessica Platt!

Dr. Platt is a violinist, educator, conductor, and Suzuki-trained teacher with more than 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. She holds a Doctor of Arts degree in Violin Performance from Ball State University, a Master of Music degree from Boston University, and is a registered Suzuki violin teacher through all ten levels of Suzuki teacher training.

Throughout her career, Dr. Platt has taught in public schools, universities, community music programs, and private studios. She is passionate about creating positive, engaging learning environments where students develop strong musical skills, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.

As a performer, Dr. Platt has appeared as a soloist and orchestral musician throughout the United States and internationally. She has performed with a wide variety of ensembles and artists and remains active as a performer, clinician, and music educator.

Dr. Platt is excited to join Vista School and looks forward to sharing the joy of music with students and families while helping the string program continue to grow and thrive.

☀️Our very own Vista artists invite you to Explore the Sunshine Trail at the Shoppes at Zion, and you can vote for your favorite once per day!

Starting today, June 1st, through July 4th, dioramas created by students all over the Southern Utah area will be on display inside 15 different stores. Participating stores will have bright signage outside their doors, making it a perfect, fun summer scavenger hunt for the whole family!

There are Vista dioramas on display at Red Rock Spas as well as Cowboys and Indians.

We are excited to launch our Summer Math Challenge using iReady My Path!

Students can earn a prize each time they pass 3 iReady My Path math lessons over the summer.

A great goal is to work in small chunks:
15–20 minutes a day, 3 days a week!

Once students have passed 3 lessons, they may come to the front office on Wednesdays to receive a prize.

📅 Prize Pickup:
Wednesdays beginning May 27 through July 22

🎉 Grand Prize Drawing:
Each time students pick up a prize, they will add their name to our Summer Math Challenge Drawing!

The grand prize drawing will take place and winners will be announced on Wednesday, July 22.
