THE GREAT RUBBER DUCK PALOOZA ANNOUNCEMENTS

TOMORROW, JULY 4TH, IS THE DAY!

At 8 pm we will be hosting the drawing at the Jackman town office. We will be dumping 1,000 ducks into our dump tank to pull ducks out. But we will be having KIDS pull the ducks!
We are looking for child volunteers to enter the pool!
🦆Children must be 5 to 12 years old to participate.
🦆A child must have a parent/guardian sign a liability release form to be able to enter the pool. The parent/guardian must also be present at the time of the child entering the pool.
🦆Children who are signed up will receive a number, if their number is chosen, they will get to enter the pool to chose a duck. Not all children may be chosen.
🦆The water will only be 1 foot deep in the pool.
🦆Only 1 child will be in the pool at a time!
🦆Children WILL be blindfolded and will choose one rubber duck.
🦆 The first child chosen will get to pick the duck for the $1,000 prize. Ducks will be chosen by other children for other prizes. Each child will only chose one duck.

WE ARE ALSO HAVING A FIREFIGHTER BASEBALL GLOVE GIVE A WAY FOR CHILDREN!
We were given 10 baseball gloves (5 t-ball size, 5 youth size) by an anonymous donor who wishes for us to raffle them off to kids.
⚾️ Entries are FREE!

What a weekend! 10 firefighters in total (5 Jackman - Moose River, 3 Bingham Fire Department, 1 Solon Fire Department, and 1 West Forks Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department) completed Basic Fire School hosted by the Maine Fire Service Institute. Congratulations to all of them!

Such a big event would not have been possible without all the help we received.

Thank you to the Jackman - Moose River firefighters that came out to run pumps and shuttle water as well as fill air tanks, clean hose, and help set up and take down on both days.

Thank you to the Solon Fire Chief and firefighter(s) that came to assist.

Thank you to the West Forks Fire Chief and firefighter(s) that came to assist.

Thank you to the Town of Jackman for use of their property by the town office to practice propane fires and vehicle fires.

Thank you to Bishops Store for providing lunch both days.

Thank you to Achey's Auto Body for providing vehicles to train with.

Thank you to the Nadeau family for providing an old building to use for live structural fires.

Thank you to the 10 firefighters that participated to learn new skills to better serve their communities.

And a big thank you to Maine Fire Service Institute and all of the wonderful instructors that spent their time coming to Jackman to teach.
