Sheriff Barton is proud to recognize the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers who recently attended the 2026 Tennessee School Resource Officers (TNSRO) Conference in Pigeon Forge.

The conference provided valuable training on school safety, student engagement, and emergency preparedness. It also gave officers the opportunity to learn from experts and share ideas with fellow SROs from across Tennessee.

Thank you to our SROs for your dedication to protecting and mentoring the students in our schools.

Sheriff Barton congratulates Environmental Officer Glennis Monday on his retirement after 29 years of dedicated service to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

Throughout his career, Glennis worked hard to improve Campbell County and make a lasting difference in our community. A pioneer in his field, he was Tennessee’s first Environmental Officer and helped set the standard for environmental enforcement across the state. His commitment to serving others has touched countless lives through both his work and more than 30 years of volunteer service.

Earlier this year, Glennis was recognized as Tennessee’s Volunteer of the Year, a well deserved honor for someone who has devoted so much of his life to helping others.

We thank Glennis for his dedication to our community and wish him a happy retirement.
