Check out these great back to school electrical safety tips!

🎒⚡ Back-to-school brings new routines, devices and opportunities to stay safe around electricity:

✔ Keep cords out of walkways to prevent trips and falls
✔ Never overload outlets or power strips with too many devices
✔ Replace damaged chargers and frayed cords immediately
✔ Keep drinks and other liquids away from laptops, tablets, and electrical outlets
✔ Teach children to report damaged outlets, cords or electrical equipment to a trusted adult

Welcome Back JC Tigers!

Welcome Back, Tigers! 🐯📚

We’re so excited to see our students back in the halls tomorrow for the **first day of school!** Let’s make it a great start to a new school year!

As we get back into our routines, here are a few important reminders for families:

⏰ **Student Drop-Off**
School doors open at **7:30 a.m.** Middle School students arriving early should report to the cafeteria and will be dismissed at 7:50. Students should not hang out in the hallways or at their lockers before school. Students may remain outside, but the breezeway cannot be used.

🚗 **Drop-Off & Pick-Up**

* South Street and Linden Street are **one-way drives**.
* Please use the designated drop-off lane and **do not drop students off in parking lanes**.
* If you need to walk your child into the building or speak with a staff member, please park in a designated parking spot.
* Please do not leave vehicles unattended in the pull-through lane.
* During afternoon pick-up, pull as far forward toward the school as possible and **do not stop directly in front of the doors**.

🚌 **Student Pick-Up**
Non-bus riders may exit through **Doors 1, 2, 3, or 24**, depending on where they are at the end of the school day. This will help reduce congestion.

🅿️ **Parking**

* Student drivers: **West Lot**
* Visitors: **Main Lot**

School Zone Safety Reminder 🚸

School is back, Jackson Center! That means more students, school buses, families, and pedestrians will be traveling around our school and community. Let’s all do our part to keep our Tigers safe! 💙💛

🚗 Remember: The school zone speed limit is 20 MPH during school hours. Please slow down, stay alert, and give yourself plenty of time to react.

A few important reminders:

• Slow down and watch for students crossing streets and walking near the school.
• Keep your eyes up and stay off your phone while driving.
• Watch for school buses and be prepared to stop when children are loading or unloading.
• Be patient during drop-off and pick-up. Traffic may move a little slower as families arrive and leave school.
• Follow all posted signs and traffic directions around the school.
• Give pedestrians the right-of-way and be especially cautious around crosswalks.
• Allow extra space and time for unexpected stops or children entering the roadway.

🏫 A few extra seconds can make a big difference.

Come out for Senior Citizens meeting TODAY at 1pm in the Jackson Center Family Life Center.

Any one 55 or older in Jackson Center or surrounding areas are welcome to join for just $10 a year!

We laugh, enjoy good food and socialize with new and familiar friends.
This is event happens on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 1pm for about 2hrs.

We hope to see you there!
