Thank you State Representative Ed Butler for opposing the Nucular Waste Storage in my neighboring district and for ALL of Tennessee!

I have sent a letter to Governor Lee opposing nuclear waste storage in District 41 and across Tennessee.

Tennessee is a state of innovation and technology. Nuclear waste storage is not something we want or need in Tennessee.

Now that the dust has settled from Election Night; Tennessee is now set to elect it's First Ever female Governor of the State.

Coming this November, we will see the Republican Nominee - Marsha Blackburn take on the Democrat Nominee - Jerri Green.

News Channel 5 was going to host Tennessee's GOP Gubernatorial Debate on July 20th.

They reached out to each GOP candidate; Marsha Blackburn, John Rose, and Monty Fritts.

John Rose and Monty Fritts had accepted and they were waiting for conformation from Marsha Blackburn. She has decided NOT to show up for the debate saying that she will be in DC at that time to vote.

John Rose had posted an hour ago, about Marsha declining yet another debate while bosting about his willingness to show up and debate and ask questions.

However, John Rose has now pulled out of the debate slated for July 20th and the debate has now been canceled.

John Rose has held personal events across Tennessee, held predetermined Q&A's and met with voters before and after the event. I have even attended one earlier this year.

Now onto Monty Fritts. He's been willing to debate all or just one. He's even went as far as making any special accommodations for his primary opponents.

Marsha Blackburn doesn't show up to debate, or go out to campaign in person.

John Rose goes out and campaigns, will debate only if Marsha Blackburn shows up. Since she won't, he will later back out.

Monty Fritts goes out, even to the smallest counties to campaign, takes unprepared Q&A's from the crowd until every question or concern is answered, and will stop and pray with you.

This Governor's GOP race for Tennessee is going to be an interesting one for sure!

This November, you will have the opportunity to ban a state property tax – for good.

Voting YES on Amendment 2 will protect you from double taxation after already paying property taxes at the local level.

INTERESTING: The U.S. Senate seat held by Lindsey Graham has only been occupied by two men since 1956.

In 2002, longtime Sen. Strom Thurmond retired as he approached his 100th birthday.

Graham ran to succeed him and won, becoming South Carolina's first new U.S. senator (in either seat) since Fritz Hollings in 1966.

Incredibly, the man that preceded Sen. Graham was a candidate in the 1948 U.S. presidential election.

The next person to hold that seat will only be the 3rd since Eisenhower... hard to believe, but it's true.

BREAKING: U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has died from a sudden illness, according to his office. He was 71.

"Senator Graham's family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period," a statement said.
