Rapid and emergency housing for women loading ……

The Home Depot approved another grant to donate the materials to remodel the home that can house six (6) women at a time. PIPLG is still a new nonprofit and we are hoping to eventually expand.

I can not wait for the remodeling to begin! We can begin remodeling once we raise funds to pay a construction worker. All donations goes to this project.

This has been a lengthy project but hopefully we are getting closer to reuniting a grandmother and granddaughter for an adoption.

Attached are before and after pictures and we could not have gotten this done without the materials from Home Depot The Home Depot The Home Depot Foundation

The labor and skills from license contractor Joe Chandler, his Brother Albert and Amos is always amazing and unmatched as they knocked all of the necessary repairs in less than 12 hours. The lending hand from In and Out Customs Jarmie Smith, Tree Slayer Smith, Chris the Barber exceeded my expectations and I am truly grateful, all I had to do was call them for their help and they were ready. The carpentry work by Jimmie Jackson was laid (literally) fast and efficient.

Now we need furniture for the little girl room, a bed, mattress, dresser, etc and the project will be completed!!!

Thanks to your donations People In Poverty Legal Group was able to purchase a birth certificate for an ex-offender which is apart of the “Discharge Documentation Program” Criminal Appeals Law Center of Mississippi, PLLC filed a motion to vacate his illegal sentence in 2021 and his illegal sentence was vacated in April 2022. He made parole in September 2022. Since his release he has been unable to get a job due to not having a birth certificate to get his I.D. and social security card. Now he can seek gainful employment!

Please know that all donations will be used to help ex-prisoners and parents going through youth court proceedings.
