**BURN PERMIT UPDATE – EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 15**

Starting October 15, the Madison County Fire Department will no longer issue burn permits.

To obtain a burn permit in Madison County, you must now go through the Tennessee Department of Agriculture – Division of Forestry.

NNO helps to strengthen the relationships between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It helps brings communities and law enforcement together under positive circumstances and can help to rediscover our own communities.

🏈 Madison County Commissioners' Cup 🏆

I can hardly believe it, but we're gearing up for the 6th Annual Commissioners' Cup Football Championship! From the very beginning, I've been honored to be part of this incredible event, and I couldn't be more thrilled to see it return once again.

This Friday, on October 6, 2023, the stage will be set as South Side takes on North Side in a showdown you won't want to miss!

The stakes are high, my friends, as the victors will not only claim the coveted Commissioners' Cup trophy but also secure a crucial regional victory that can significantly impact our district standings.

Set your alarms and mark your calendars because kickoff is scheduled for Friday evening at 7 PM!

Today the Madison County Board of Commissioners has chosen new leaders to guide the Commission. Commissioner Mike Taylor has been elected as the new chairman, while Commissioner Carl Alexander will serve as the vice-chairman.

We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to Commissioner Gary Deaton and Commissioner Arthur Johnson for the many years of dedicated service they've provided in their leadership roles.

We continue to look forward to a bright future under our new leadership.
