Spring Valley in Jackson, WI is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team!

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment.

Job Overview:

-Preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
-Troubleshooting malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation
-Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
-Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed:

-Able to work under pressure
-Ability to get along and work with co-workers
-Problem solving skills
-Basic computer knowledge
-Previous experience, degree, or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment/machines, etc.
-Ability to lift over 50lbs
-Have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Shift:
1st shift and 2nd shift available!

Pay:

*$24-$30/hr starting pay depending on skills and experience.
*Daily Profit Sharing Bonus (paid bi-weekly, which averages $2-$3/hour)

Summary: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares mechanical and electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience
• A two year technical degree in mechanical or electrical maintenance and/or demonstrated knowledge in electronics, and machine repair
• 5 years of related experience
• Blue print reading
• Reading schematics
• Electrical wiring
• Plumbing

-Availability to work 2nd shift: 2:15pm-12:45am Monday through Thursday. Occasional Overtime (Fridays).
