Whether you want to enhance your skills, access valuable information, or connect with fellow book lovers, a library card is your key to it all. Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers offering more than just books. At the Jackson County Library System, enjoy diverse programs, digitizing equipment, book clubs, author talks, story times, and so much more!

🌟 Did you know we offer outdoor games, cakepans, hotspots, and STEM kits for checkout? There's something for everyone here. Getting a library card is easy and an essential step toward academic success and lifelong learning for students. Everyone should have one!

📍 Visit the Jackson, Lakefield, or Heron Lake Library this September to sign up. Here's what you need:
--- Complete a library card application form at the library.
--- Show a photo ID. If it doesn't have your current address, bring a utility bill or another approved document.
--- Children under 16 need a parent or guardian present.

📸✨ Exciting news from Jackson Library! All September, check out the “Belonging Begins with Us” exhibit. Featuring stunning black and white portraits and uplifting quotes from our very own community members, this is a display you won't want to miss. Brought to you by the Behavioral Health Alliance of Jackson and Cottonwood Counties, this project was created with award-winning photographer John Noltner. The September Newsletter from the Jackson County Library System has dates and times for all of the great things we have planned as we switch from summer to our fall programming!

In September, we’ll be having our annual Friends of the Library Book Sale that you don’t want to miss! It’s also Library Card Sign Up month and we’ll be replacing any lost cards for free all month long.

The Belonging Begins with Us exhibit will be on display in the Jackson Library all month long, make sure to stop in and check out the amazing local stories.

The new bestsellers this week are "God's Country," "Pizza and Taco: Scariest Sleepover Ever!," and "Super Diaper Baby: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers." The new movies this week are "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Season 1," and "Hoppers."
