Today was the final day of the 2025-2026 school year. We had a blast for our Fun Day. We are so thankful a for our wonderful PTA.

Today’s parade at North West IB Middle School’s International Festival was a beautiful celebration of culture, pride, and diversity! 🌍✨ We were proud to have Obama Magnet staff and scholars representing countries from around the world as they showcased their heritage with joy and school spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special!

Although Music in Our Schools Month is celebrated in March, we couldn’t let May pass without recognizing our amazing music teacher, Ms. Maholmes! 🎶❤️

Thank you, Ms. Maholmes, for the passion, patience, creativity, and joy you bring to our students each and every day. Your dedication helps our children grow not only as musicians, but also as confident and expressive individuals.

Obama families,
There are a FEW extra yearbooks that can be purchased and picked up at the school. The cost is $32 and they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. If you’d like to purchase a yearbook, send $32 cash in a sealed envelope to school with your scholar to give to Miss Evans.

We are feeling so loved and appreciated after an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week! 💙🍎

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA and school families for spoiling our staff all week long with so many thoughtful treats and delicious meals.

Monday started the week off with a wonderful breakfast, followed by a tasty taco bar on Tuesday. Wednesday brought smoothies for breakfast and an amazing potato bar for lunch. Thursday’s ice cream bar was such a fun treat, and Friday’s food truck was the perfect way to wrap up the week!

Every meal, snack, and kind gesture meant so much to our teachers and staff. Thank you for your generosity, support, and for making us feel celebrated all week long. We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community! ❤️
