Northampton County EMS is the lead agency and is the sole provider of paramedic services to the citizens. The other agencies include: Gaston EMS, Duke Life Flight, ECU Eastcare, Gaston Volunteer Fire Department, Garysburg Volunteer Fire Department, Rich Square Fire-Rescue, Woodland Volunteer Fire Department, Roanoke Wildwood Fire Department, Conway Volunteer Fire Department , Severn Volunteer Fire Department, Lasker Volunteer Fire Department and Jackson Volunteer Fire Department.
