🎓✨ A Memorable Celebration of Achievement ✨🎓

Kirksey Middle School proudly celebrated its 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, recognizing the accomplishments, growth, and hard work of the Class of 2026.

The ceremony honored students for their dedication and perseverance as they completed an important chapter in their academic journey.

Families, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate this milestone and encouraged students as they prepare to begin high school. The event reflected the pride, support, and strong sense of community that continues to define Kirksey Middle School.

Congratulations to all promoted students. We wish each of you continued success in your future endeavors. We are so proud of you!

This week, we proudly celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week at Kirksey Middle School by showering our amazing teachers with love, gratitude, and special treats all week long! 💙🧡

On Monday, our staff enjoyed delicious meals from Harvey's Fish House provided by special donors. Tuesday featured Honey Baked Ham boxed lunches generously sponsored by Drs. Billy and Brenda Roby. Wednesday, teachers enjoyed wings, burgers, and quesadillas from Hi Level Kitchen Food Truck sponsored by our amazing PTA. Thursday, our adopters at Anderson United Methodist Church blessed us with pasta and veggies, and Friday wrapped up the week with tacos sponsored by our adopters at City Heart Church.

A special thank you to Ms. Durr for surprising our teachers with Krispy Kreme donuts and thoughtful gifts! Our teachers were also showered with gifts and appreciation from the KMS Admin Team and our wonderful students throughout the week.

We hope our teachers felt celebrated and appreciated for the many gifts, talents, and countless hours they pour into our students every single day. Thank you for all you do to make Kirksey Middle School a special place for our Colts! 💙🐴🧡

Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons our bus drivers show up every single day with one mission: to ensure our scholars get to and from school safely. Their patience, dedication, and care do not go unnoticed. They are often the first and last Kirksey smiles our students see each day, and they set the tone for a positive school experience.

Kirksey Middle School proudly celebrates our outstanding choir students for their participation in the All-City Choir Festival.

Their dedication, perseverance, and determination to be a part of this prestigious event truly reflect their commitment to excellence. We are especially proud to share that Kirksey Middle School had the highest number of participants among the Middle School Network. An achievement that speaks volumes about the passion and hard work of our students.

MAAP Spirit Week at Kirksey was a HUGE success! 💙🧡

Day 3 brought the excitement with our Teacher vs. Student Basketball Game, and the teachers took the win! 🏀👏 Students enjoyed snacks from the concession stand and danced to music, making it a fun-filled day for everyone.

Day 4 was all about grade level pride!
6th grade rocked gray, 7th grade showed out in blue, and 8th grade stood strong in orange. The school spirit was unmatched! 🔥

We wrapped up Spirit Week with an unforgettable Trail Ride Day! Students enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and a variety of activities including a bungee inflatable, gladiator games, co****le, flag football, a mechanical bull, and even horse rides. It was an amazing way to celebrate and build excitement together!
Our Colts had an incredible time, but now it’s time to shift gears. MAAP testing begins next week, and we are ready to show what we know! 📚✨
