When someone is dealing with substance use judgment only make things harder. They build a wall that keeps people from getting help.

But when we choose kindness and take the time to listen, that wall comes down. Compassion changes the conversation, and understanding creates a safe space for people to find support.

Visit standupms.org to find resources, learn how to support others, and join the movement to end the stigma.

Prevention starts in our schools.

StandUp Mississippi was proud to attend the Mississippi Association of School Resource Officers (MASRO) Conference, where school resource officers, educators, and prevention partners came together to strengthen efforts that help prevent opioid use disorder before it starts.

We're especially proud of Outreach Coordinator Charlotte Bryant for presenting on Addressing the Opioid Crisis in Mississippi and sharing strategies to keep Mississippi's youth healthy and safe.

Thank you, MASRO, for bringing together leaders committed to prevention through education, collaboration, and early intervention.
