📢 Jackson Police Department & School Athletics: Event Safety & Stadium Guidelines 📢

As we kick off another exciting sports season, the Jackson Police Department and Jackson High School Athletics want to ensure a safe, fun, and family-friendly environment for everyone attending our home games and sporting events.

Please review the following policies, which apply to all Jackson sporting events and are strictly enforced for both home fans and visiting guests:

• Clear Bags Only: Only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are permitted inside the venue. Traditional purses, backpacks, camera bags, and f***y packs will not be allowed past the gates.

• No Outside Drinks or Cups: No outside beverages or containers of any kind (whether disposable or reusable) are permitted inside the gates. Concessions are available on-site.

• No Weapons: Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on school grounds. Any prohibited items will be confiscated at the gate, or individuals will be denied entry.

• No Re-Entry: If you leave the stadium or event grounds, you will not be allowed back in without purchasing a new ticket.

• Zero Tolerance for Alcohol: Per Alabama State Law, alcohol is strictly prohibited anywhere on school property—this includes the stadium, bleachers, walkways, and all parking areas.

• Supervision of Minors: For their safety, all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the event.

Our priority is to keep our community, athletes, and visitors safe so everyone can focus on supporting the teams. We appreciate your cooperation, patience with gate staff, and continued support of our athletes.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Being a School Resource Officer is about so much more than just keeping our hallways safe—it’s about mentorship, presence, and building positive, lasting relationships with our youth every single day.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Sgt. Chris Shoultz and Cpl. Shane Foster for hitting the ground running this school year! Whether it's Corporal Foster engaging students with his campus duck hunt challenge (congratulations to Braylon Jackson for being the first winner! 🏆) or Sergeant Shoultz fostering daily connections with students and staff, their dedication to our kids shines through.

With temperatures soaring this summer, the Jackson Police Department and the Jackson Fire Department are working hard to keep our community safe. As we respond to calls in this intense heat, hydration is essential for us.
