🎨✨ ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MRS. BRITTANY McCALLUM✨🎨

Our Pre-K artists are exploring Mehndi (henna) art while learning all about lines (one of the foundational elements of art)!

Mrs. McCallum connected creativity with culture by introducing students to the history and significance of Mehndi in South Asia. Through lines, patterns, and designs, our youngest scholars are building foundational art skills while learning how art connects us to cultures around the world. 🌎🖌️

At Casey, creativity MUST be intentionally taught early! 💫

What a beautiful way to begin our Friday! 💃🏾✨

Our Casey Kindergartners started their morning moving, thinking, and creating in dance class with our phenomenal dance teacher, Mrs. Marlena Duncan-McGee. Students explored body shapes while strengthening their understanding of rhythm through rhythmic analysis, bringing creativity, movement, and critical thinking together.

At Casey, we know the arts aren’t an “extra, they are an essential part of educating the whole child. It’s a philosophy we’ve stood firmly behind for decades, and one we’ll continue to harness for years to come.

This is what learning through the arts looks like. ❤️

🎉✨ What an incredible final week of school at Casey Elementary!

Our Pre-K through 5th grade scholars shined brightly during awards ceremonies and performing arts presentations, showcasing their hard work, creativity, growth, and talent throughout the school year. From music and dance to academic achievements and leadership, we are so proud of all our students and everything they accomplished this year. 💛🎭📚

Gathered around the giant table with pencils, paper, and meaningful conversations, students are working together to examine facts, share ideas, and strengthen their learning community. 📚✏️

Through teamwork and respectful discussion, our scholars are building capacity in both academic excellence and positive relationships that will help them grow as leaders inside and outside of the classroom. 💡
