Mission: Create a sustainable nonprofit, community based cancer patient support home for patients seeking treatment in the Jackson area so that they can heal and cope in a comfortable environment. Vision: We believe that love and a warm home can change a person’s life, can change a family. During the trial of cancer and other serious illness, patients need a place to relax and recuperate during
their outpatient treatments in Jackson and Hope House strives to provide a warm, friendly home-away-from-home, free of charge to all cancer and other seriously ill outpatients passing through. • Hope House of Hospitality is a Christian ministry that provides a “home away from home” for seriously ill outpatients • Hope House offers residence as well as physical and emotional support for its patients, as well as a support network • Most guests of Hope House are cancer patients referred to the House by hospital social workers • Outpatients live in a variety of places across the state of Mississippi but stay at Hope House while they receive treatments such as chemo and radiation and other therapy • Most outpatient treatments last 6-8 weeks, but for some patients treatment takes much longer • Hope House provides lodging, food, laundry services, and transportation to appointments at no cost to its guests • Businesses, friends and family of patients, and volunteers donate and volunteer with Hope House • Hope House has a 30 resident capacity for Mississippi outpatients • There are only 3 full-time, paid employees at Hope House • Hope House is completely dependent on volunteers and donated services to accommodate its guests • Financial support for Hope House is crucial • Hope House is 11,000 square feet • Transportation is made possible by 2 donated vans • All of the services provided thanks to donations are at NO COST TO OUR GUESTS-
