Last night, the Jackson Fire Department focused our Monday night training on vehicle fires. What might seem like a routine call can actually be extremely hazardous—from exploding airbags and gasoline leaks to the unique challenges of electric vehicles (EVs).

We want to extend a huge thank you to Homer's Towing and Service! They generously donated two vehicles, prepped them for us, and covered the towing.

To our dedicated firefighters who show up to train every single Monday night, always striving to be better: thank you for your commitment!

Thank you to Jackson Police Department for putting on another great event last night at National Night Out! Appreciate all the folks who stopped by to see the truck and pick up a challenge coin to support our UTV fundraiser. We still have plenty of coins and stickers available for purchase. Stop by the station or keep an eye out for us at upcoming events!

On Monday evening, before the Washington County Fair got underway, the Jackson Fire Department had the privilege of training with the great team at Rainbow Valley Rides.

While accidents involving carnival rides are rare, this was an excellent opportunity for our members to become more familiar with the equipment and potential hazards associated with these rides.

A special thank-you to Rainbow Valley Rides for taking the time, after a very busy day, to work with us and help us better prepare to serve our community! We truly appreciate your partnership.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to our UTV fundraising campaign so far. We are off to a great start! See below regarding a new way you can take home a piece of JFD history. We are now selling challenge coins commemorating our campaign! Proceeds from each coin sold will go to the UTV fund. You can purchase for $20 per coin through the Venmo link below or with cash at the station. Coins will be available for purchase between 8am-4pm weekdays and 6-9pm Monday night at the JFD station. If you purchase through Venmo link below put “UTV coin” in comment field and just stop in during the times listed above and show proof for pickup.

General donations are also accepted through the Venmo link, just put “donation” in comment field.

Due to the poor air quality, we have made the decision to move this event inside the Community Center!
We will still have the band, vendors, and a LIMITED beer and concessions menu.
The Touch-A-Truck portion of the event is cancelled.

Rain or shine, come see us tonight at Culver’s! No grocery run needed or argument on what to cook. Come get some fries and delicious custard maybe even hand delivered by one of our team members!

Come join us this coming Wednesday at Culver’s for Firefighters with Fries and help support two great local organizations.
