Today, the MFCR are in thought of the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women as they mourn the loss of Mrs. Ruby Ainsworth.

Mrs. Ainsworth was a champion not only for the MFRW but for the entirety of the Mississippi Republican Party. We are deeply grateful of her dedication to help keep our Great State a Republican one.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Ruby Ainsworth’s family.

This past Saturday the MFCR’s reconvened to elect a new Secretary! The MFCR decided to elect Ava Abernathy from Mississippi State University!

Ava is a native of Brandon, MS. She is currently a sophomore studying Political Science. Ava also serves as vice chairwoman of the Mississippi State University College Republicans.

The next officer we would like to highlight is our Treasurer, Jonathan Hayward!

Jonathan is a native of Grenada, MS. He is currently a senior at the University of Mississippi. He is majoring in Public Policy Leadership.

The next officer we would like to introduce is Vice Chairman Benjamin Gipson!

Ben is a native of Braxton, Mississippi and is currently a junior at Mississippi College pursuing a degree in Political Science through the accelerated 3+3 pre-law program. Last year, Ben served as Treasurer for the federation.

Yesterday, the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans held their convention where they elected a new slate of executive officers. Over the next couple of days, we will be highlighting who these new executive officers are!

Starting off with our Chairman, we have Kye Webb! Kye is a native of Pontotoc, MS. He is currently a sophomore at Mississippi College where he is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Communications. Kye also serves as Vice Chairman of the Mississippi Federation of Young Republicans.

This weekend, the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans will be hosting our annual convention where we elect new state officers and provide an update on College Republicans across the state. The convention will be held this Sunday at 2pm and will be virtual. Any College Republican in the State of Mississippi is welcome to join.
