Beginner percussion class: 4 weeks ago they didn’t know how to hold a drum stick or have any percussion skills. Now, 4 weeks in, they’re reading music on multiple instruments, independently (different parts), and integrating their technical skills and knowledge in a musical context! They’re on fire!

We are PUMPED about our show! Today we put together the 2nd movement for the first time, while beating the heat. This is a tired group after a long afternoon of rehearsal, but they showed so much promise! Great things coming!

You never know what will happen at band camp! Today Avery Williamson, retired NFL athlete, came to visit and bring some treats from his Tennessee Crush Water Ice business! When the kids realized who was there they went crazy asking for pics and autographs! Fun surprise at the end of a long but productive camp!
