🎓✈️ NESA Southeast Graduates the Next Generation of Civil Air Patrol Leaders ✈️🎓
Civil Air Patrol cadets and senior members from across the Southeast recently came together for the National Emergency Services Academy Southeast (NESA-SE), an outstanding training event focused on leadership, aerospace education, emergency services, and professional development.
Throughout the academy, participants engaged in classroom instruction, leadership exercises, and hands-on training while working alongside experienced Civil Air Patrol members and military personnel. The program emphasized teamwork, professionalism, and the Civil Air Patrol Core Values of Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect.
On April 19, 2026, more than 100 faculty, staff, students, family members, and friends gathered at the USAF Vigilant Warrior Training Center to celebrate the accomplishments of this year's 47 graduates during the 2026 NESA-SE Graduation Ceremony.
The ceremony was hosted by Lt Col Harvey Yarborough, NESA-SE Course Director, and featured remarks from distinguished guests, including Brig Gen R. Jason Bailey, CAP Vice Commander, and Col Roxanne T. Toy, USAF Officer Training School Commandant. Also in attendance were several Civil Air Patrol and CAP-USAF leaders who came to recognize the graduates' achievements.
Since 1997, NESA Southeast has provided advanced, hands-on emergency services training for Civil Air Patrol members, helping develop skilled leaders and supporting CAP's missions of emergency services, aerospace education, and cadet programs.
Congratulations to all graduates on your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. The future of Civil Air Patrol is brighter because of leaders like you!
