Hi everyone!

We’re doing something different for the holiday season.

We’ll be taking out the books and collecting non-perishable, unexpired food to donate to the Jackson Food Pantry, helping those in need.

We’re planning on collecting through the end of the year, then the books will be back and ready for you to enjoy.

All donations will be very much appreciated!

Hi Everyone,

I guess we’ve been quiet for a while, but just wanted to say hi and that we’re still here with plenty of great books to read and share!

We’re working on plans to use the library to help the community at large, but we’ll share those details as we figure them out in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, we hope everyone is enjoying the new school year and looking forward to what at least feels like the beginning of cooler/more autumnal weather!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on our library.

We were so happy that a few people came by during the neighborhood yard sale a couple of weeks ago and took some of the books from our extensive collection to enjoy.

What we could never have imagined was how the weekend turned out! Thanks to one of our friends, many of the newer children's books will be going to a veterans organization that will include them in presents for kids to brighten their holidays. Not only that, many of the newer adult books will be going to veterans and their families!

We’re so glad to see the library helping other people, and this is just the beginning. First, we now have more space for more donations (see bin below as an example of a recent donation from a neighbor), and the veterans' group is still looking for donations for kids and adults alike. Second, in the next few days, we’ll put a bin on our porch to collect nonperishable goods to a local food pantry ahead of the holidays.

The temperature has dropped, and it’s getting dark WAY too early, but we’re excited to be part of the community and help people in the process.

Hi Everyone,

This weekend our development will be having a neighborhood yard sale. While we won’t be there tomorrow, we have something special planned for Sunday.

We have so many books that we’d like to share with everyone. We’ll lay out as many as possible, and you can take whatever you want. If you want to trade one of your books for one of ours, that also works.

We’ll also have a bin for nonperishable food items to be donated to the local food bank. All monetary donations will also go to the food bank as well. My grandfather started a food bank for his community 30+ years ago. While he passed in June, I’m hoping to continue his legacy of giving back.

Also, a big thank you to whoever dropped off all the new books for some of our younger readers! We love being part of this town and this community and appreciate all the contributions people make to keep the library thriving all year!
