🐠🌊 Mrs. Odom's class has been diving into the world of oceans and ocean animals!

Students learned about the important role aquariums play in helping marine animals, educating the public, and supporting conservation efforts. They conducted research, took a virtual field trip to an aquarium, and discovered how scientists and caregivers help protect ocean life.

To wrap up their learning, students used their creativity to design and build their own aquariums! 🐙🐟🦀

Ms. Luering’s kindergarteners started learning about shapes! They focused on circles and created fun circle art. Students used paper towel tubes to stamp circles and mixed paint with dish soap to make bubble paint. They had a great time creating colorful circles while learning! 🫧😊

Mrs. Lincoln’s class enjoyed reading Froggy’s Lemonade Stand today! After the story, they practiced their comprehension skills by retelling the story. They also learned the steps for making lemonade and then made their own lemonade in Ziploc bags. Best of all, they got to enjoy their tasty creation afterward! What a refreshing treat on a hot summer day! ☀️🍋😋

Students in Mrs. Crosnoe‘s class rotated through a variety of hands-on activities to strengthen their number sense. They practiced creating number sentences, putting numbers in order while counting by 1s, 2s and 5s, and challenged themselves to identify the five numbers that come before, and after a given number.

Mrs. Greenlee’s class has been having a great time during summer school! Students have been studying animals, creating fun crafts, and participating in many cooperative learning activities. They are also enjoying reading the chapter book Swiss Family Robinson together. Of course, one of their favorite parts of the day is spending time outside and playing with friends!

Kindergarten friends have been busy with hands-on learning! 🍉🔢

Students practiced their numbers and counting using Play-Doh, strengthening both their math and fine motor skills. After reading The Watermelon Seed by Greg Pizzoli, they created a fun watermelon craft that gave them even more opportunities to work on their fine motor skills!

Mrs. Crosnoe‘s 1st graders took their learning outside today! Students traced their shadows and observed how they changed throughout the day. They learned about the pattern the sun follows across the sky and discovered that the position and length of their shadows change as the sun moves. It was a fun way to explore science and see the son’s effects in action!☀️
