Earlier this week members of the Jackson Fire Department along with representatives from all Breathitt County Fire Departments, Hazard FD, Harlan FD, and Wi******er FD participated in an acquired structure burn training. The Highland Ave house was razed to make way for the construction of new homes for Jackson’s higher ground community. Acquired structure burn trainings are rare these days yet vital to ensuring firefighters are well trained. We are thankful for the City of Jackson allowing us the opportunity to use the structure for real life training scenarios over the past few weeks.
