When attending the 5k Saturday please do not park at Family Dollar. They will tow your vehicles. Parking is accessible across from the depot in a lot. If you park at the Family Dollar it is at your own risk!! The PORT is not liable for any towed vehicles.

We’re getting closer to the Recovery Celebration 5K this Saturday, August 29th! 🏃‍♀️💜

⏰ Day-of registration starts at 7:15 AM
💵 Day-of registration: $15

👕 IMPORTANT: T-shirts are no longer available, deadline was 8/19 @ noon. (Unless other arrangements were made)

🎤 KARAOKE CONTEST! 🎤
We STILL have plenty of room, so come join the fun! Pick your own song and show us what you’ve got! 🎶

💵 $15 to enter — you can sign up and pay the day of the 5K.

Our 5k is on the 29th of this month! We are still seeking sponsors, sign-ups, facilities and vendors to set up! If you are interested in sponsoring you must sign up and submit your logo by the morning of August 19th in order to have your logo added to our shirts! If you wish to receive a shirt you must register by August 19th as well!

💜 A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO TEAMWORK IN ACTION! 💜

We want to recognize the Wellston Police Department and Jackson County P.O.R.T. team members Ollivia Queen, Lindsay Secrest, and Emily Brown for going above and beyond to help someone in our community who was struggling and needed help.

Throughout the day, Ollivia and Lindsay worked tirelessly to locate this individual so we could connect them with the support they needed. With the help and cooperation of the Wellston Police Department, the team was able to locate the individual and begin coordinating the next steps.

Once contact was made, Ollivia and Emily stepped in and worked together to get the individual connected with treatment—and into treatment that very same night. 💜

This is what P.O.R.T. is all about. Sometimes helping someone means making phone calls, searching for resources, coordinating with law enforcement, and simply refusing to give up when someone needs us.

A special thank you to WPD for working alongside our team, and to Ollivia, Lindsay, and Emily for giving their time and doing everything they could to help someone take that next step.

Collaboration saves lives. Recovery is possible. And no one should have to find their way there alone. 💜
