We're incredibly grateful for the generous donation made by Mr. David Brown, benefiting our Recreation Therapy Quilting Program! 🧵

His gift of four sewing machines will make a real difference in the quilting activities we offer our Veterans, activities that do so much more than create beautiful quilts. Quilting helps strengthen cognitive function, exercises memory and storytelling, and builds problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills. It also promotes mindfulness and brings our geriatric Veteran community together through meaningful social connection.

Thank you, Mr. Brown, for investing in the well-being of our Veterans!

This week, our team traveled to Natchez, MS for our last off-campus Veterans Town Hall of the year and it was a full house.

We were thrilled to see so many Veterans, caregivers, and family members come out to learn more about VA services and ask questions. Events like this reflect the strong connection we continue to build with the Veterans in our community, and it's always energizing to see that engagement firsthand.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. Looking ahead, our next Veterans Town Hall will be hosted here at our main campus in Jackson, stay tuned for details!
