Did you know National Donut Day began with The Salvation Army? ❤️

In 1917, Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” served fresh donuts to soldiers during World War I to bring comfort, encouragement, and a taste of home. Today, we continue that tradition by celebrating the people who serve our communities every day.

🍩🎉 National Donut Day is Almost Here! 🎉🍩

Join us on Friday, June 5th, 2026, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at the American 1 Credit Union Home Office Branch (E. Michigan Ave., Jackson) for a sweet celebration that gives back!

Did you know? National Donut Day is celebrated every year on the first Friday in June and was established in 1938 to honor the Salvation Army volunteers (donut lassies) who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. ❤️

This year, we’re celebrating and supporting our Summer Youth Camp!

🍩 How to Participate:

1️⃣ Grab a free donut from American 1 Credit Union (while supplies last) or purchase a donut from your favorite local bakery.

2️⃣ Snap a selfie or take a photo of your donut.

3️⃣ Share it on Facebook and tag:
