If you're wondering where the Patton Place came from, let me tell you a story. Jason and I found a wonderful house in a new neighborhood between our parents. It was cute and functional and we made an offer. The builder refused. So we moved on. For the record, that house was on the market for another year. Jason went looking and found a gingerbread house, an English Tudor with a catslide. Once we saw inside, we had to have it. The history behind the house in short is this: Mr. & Mrs. Patton raised their family here from the 1930's on. When Mr. Patton moved into the nursing home, a Katrina victim bought the house to flip it. She ran out of money and the bank took over. We bought the house from the bank and being the second family to live in the house in 70 years, we named it Patton Place. Kinda like Payton Place but different, and down the road from Patton Avenue.
