Memorial Day is a time for us to pay honor to all those who gave their lives for our freedom. Yesterday, we took time to pay homage not only to those who didn’t return home but also to our LVH veterans whom we lost this past year. Tears were shed across the chapel as their names were called. Precious memories of their smiles, stories of family and life, and even memories of dances we shared filled our hearts with joy and sweet sorrow. Our veterans are like family to us, not just residents. So as we remember those we have lost, let’s cherish the memories and be thankful they were part of our lives.
