What does each flag fold symbolize?

🚔💙 Introducing SAGE – Senior Assistance & Guardian Engagement 💙🚔

The Jackson Marshals Office is proud to introduce SAGE (Senior Assistance & Guardian Engagement) — a proactive wellness program created to help support senior residents within the Town of Jackson who may live alone and could benefit from regular wellness check-ins.

Through SAGE, our goal is to help ensure our seniors remain safe, connected, and cared for through compassionate outreach and wellness checks Monday through Friday.

This voluntary program is designed to provide peace of mind not only for our seniors, but also for their families and loved ones.

📌 Who may qualify?
• Seniors within the Town of Jackson who primarily live alone
• Individuals who may benefit from additional wellness support

During National Police Week 2026, we honor the courageous men and women of law enforcement who put on the badge each day and stand in service to their communities.

On May 4, 2026, Detectives with the Jackson Marshals Office received notification from the East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office that an attempted murder suspect wanted by Jackson Marshals Office had been located by the U.S. Marshals Service at a residence in the Clinton area. The suspect was wanted in connection with an active attempted murder investigation being conducted by the Jackson Marshals Office.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force responded to the location in an effort to safely apprehend the suspect. Upon being located by law enforcement, the suspect took his own life.

At no time during the incident were any shots fired by the U.S. Marshals Task Force or any other law enforcement agency. Additionally, no law enforcement personnel were injured during the course of this incident.

The East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office has assumed the lead in the investigation of this incident, which is currently being handled as a su***de. This is standard procedure for incidents of this nature to ensure a thorough and independent review.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no further details are available at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and appropriate.
