Safe Hope Center

Safe Hope Center The Safe Hope Center is a partnership of agencies dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence through prevention and response.

Many criminal and civil justice systems make it difficult for victims to seek help and unintentionally wear them down. Victims are often required to travel from location to location to seek services that are scattered through a community. They have to tell their story over and over again to officials representing agencies such as law enforcement, courts, legal aid, medical, transportation, housing

, social services, mental health, rehabilitation, financial assistance, and many more. The criminal justice system unintentionally makes it easy for victims to become frustrated and ultimately stop seeking help. The Safe Hope Center is based on the San Diego Family Justice Center model, which opened in 2002. The model has been identified as a best practice in the field of domestic violence intervention and prevention services by the United States Department of Justice.. The documented and published outcomes of the Family Justice Center model have included:

• Reduced homicides
• Increased victim safety
• Increased autonomy & empowerment for victims
• Reduced fear and anxiety for victims & their children
• Increased efficiency & coordination among service providers
• Reduced recantation & minimization by victims when wrapped in services & support.

Purple is the color for domestic violence awareness because it symbolizes courage, honor, peace, and survival for victims and survivors. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The association with purple dates back to the women's suffrage movement's use of purple white and gold to represent these values. The color was chosen to raise awareness and honor those affected by domestic violence.

We are so sad that we've lost such an amazing man!

This is the Safe Hope Center ribbon cutting on 10/15/15. I was going to ask JR to speak at our 10 year anniversary celebration on 10/15/25. 🥺

He will be missed by all who knew and loved this wonderful human!

If you're in need of help, please call us 731-425-8186 or stop by. WRAP's hotline, that is answered 24 hours a day, is 800-273-8712. If it's an emergency dial 911.

Sometimes Facebook is wonky and I don't get messages right away from people who are reaching out for help.

Today was a fantastic day! We got to share what we do with all of the Jackson City employees at the employee health fair. After that, we received a very generous donation from Stacy Miller with Tennessee Correctional Services of $500 and a car load of supplies! Thank you Stacy!!!
